WinX MediaTransIf you use an iPad or an iPhone, you probably know all about iTunes for transferring files between your iDevice and your computer. Trouble is, iTunes on Windows isn't very good. It's huge, slow, and difficult to use.

If you would like to try an alternative, have a look at WinX MediaTrans, from Digiarty. It lets you copy documents, images etc from your iPod and iPad to your PC, and back again. And although it normally costs around $30, it's free at the moment if you're willing to take part in Digiarty's research. Just head to https://www.winxdvd.com/ios-android-mobile/itunes-contest.htm and click on the Winx MediaTrans Giveaway tab. You'll see a selection of speech bubbles representing some of the main complaints that people have about iTunes. Choose a few to reflect your own opinion, and you'll then be taken to a download link for the program. You'll receive a 27 MB installer which contains both the program and your licence key.

The competition closes in a couple of weeks, so make sure you grab your free copy of the software as soon as you can, and get it installed on your PC. You can then use it for as long as you like.

The download is malware-free according to VirusTotal, and the site is reputable according to Web of Trust.

The software "forced" me to update to a newer version. I didn't want to but the soft was "blocked" as long as I did not update.
I was very unsure that the key would still be valid : bingo, it IS NOT.
So I could use the soft for 1 or 2 weeks and now I'm back on a standard free version with the classical limitations.
Digiarty was not obliged to propose us such "free keys", but I've got the feeling that we all have been cheated.

Installed Winx Media Trans and it doesn’t recognize my iphone when plugged in. I hear the audible confirmation when I plug it and unplug it.
